Description
The CELIMAX The Vita A Retinol Shot Tightening Serum is a high-performance treatment serum formulated with 0.1% pure retinol (not just a retinol derivative), along with a 9-peptide complex and CELIMAX’s “A-Shot™” micro-particle delivery technology designed to penetrate pores and enhance absorption.
It targets visible signs of ageing — such as fine lines, loss of firmness and enlarged pores — while supporting hydration and barrier comfort via soothing ingredients like panthenol and vitamin E.
Ideal for an evening routine (and used with diligent sun protection in the morning), this serum aims to leave the skin smoother, firmer and more refined.
Size: 30ML
Skin Type
Normal to combination skin and especially for those concerned with early signs of aging (fine lines, pore texture) and firmness loss.
Oily to oily-combination skin with enlarged pores wanting anti-ageing care (since the pore-penetration marketing suggests this intention).
Skin that has a moderately stable barrier and is ready to introduce retinol/retinol-type actives.
Key Benefits
Refines the appearance of pores & smooths texture — The micro-particle “A-Shot™” delivery and pure retinol work to reach deeper and support visible improvement in pore size/volume.
Reduces fine lines, improves firmness & elasticity — With a 9-Peptide complex (Tripeptide-1, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1, Nonapeptide-1, Hexapeptide-9, Dipeptide-2, Copper Tripeptide-1, Acetyl Tetrapeptide-5, Acetyl Hexapeptide-8, Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4) helping collagen signalling and structural support.
Hydration & barrier-comfort support — Ingredients like panthenol (1 %) and vitamin E (tocopherol) are included to help reduce the potential dryness/irritation from retinol use and support skin comfort.
Lightweight, fast-absorbing texture — The formulation is designed for daily use (evening) and layering under moisturiser; suitable for people who want effective anti-ageing without heavy textures.
Key Ingredients
Retinol (0.1% pure) — The gold standard anti‐aging active: increases cell turnover, supports collagen production, refines pores and improves firmness.
9-Peptide Complex — As noted above: peptides that signal collagen and elastin production, assist in firmness and reduce visible ageing signs.
Panthenol (1 %) — Pro-vitamin B5: soothes, hydrates and supports barrier recovery.
Tocopherol (Vitamin E) — Antioxidant, helps protect skin from oxidative stress and supports overall skin comfort.
Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Glycerin, Methylpropanediol — Emollients and humectants for smoother texture and better delivery of actives.

Pregnancy and Nursing Safe
No
Retinol is generally not recommended during pregnancy due to its potential to cause birth defects. It is better to avoid products containing retinol while pregnant.
How to use
Evening Use Only: Because retinol sensitises skin to sun exposure, apply in your PM skincare routine after cleansing and toner.
Start Slowly — If you are new to retinol or your barrier is weak: Use 1–2 nights per week initially, then gradually increase as tolerated.
Application: Dispense a small amount (pea-sized) onto your fingertips and apply evenly to face, focusing on areas of concern (pores, laxity, lines). Avoid eye area and corners.
Follow with Barrier Cream: After the serum has absorbed (~1-2 minutes), apply a rich moisturizer or barrier repair cream (e.g., with ceramides) to buffer potential irritation — especially given your flaky dry barrier.
Morning After: The next morning, apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30+ or higher) as the final step, because retinol increases sensitivity to UV.
During Use: Avoid layering with strong exfoliants (AHAs/BHAs) on the same night to minimise over-stress to the skin.
Monitor Reaction: Because your skin barrier is compromised, watch for unexpected stinging, redness, excessive flaking. If it occurs, reduce frequency or pause until skin stabilises.
Frequency: Once your skin tolerates it, you may use nightly (as per brand direction) but ensure barrier support remains consistent.
