How to use
After cleansing and (optional) toner, apply 1–2 pumps/drops of the serum to face (and neck if desired).
Apply evenly, focusing on areas with dark spots, pigmentation, enlarged pores or uneven tone.
Follow with your moisturiser — since your barrier is flaky/dry, pairing this serum with a barrier-moisturising cream or emulsion is key.
Usage frequency: Start with once per day (preferably evening) to observe tolerance. If well tolerated and your barrier improves, shift to AM & PM if desired (just remember sunscreen for AM).
Sun protection: On mornings you use this serum, ensure you apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen — brightening actives often increase skin’s sensitivity to UV.
Special tip for your skin condition: As you have a damaged barrier and occasional cystic acne: On nights you use this serum, skip strong exfoliants or harsh actives. Sequence: Cleanser → hydrating toner → this serum → barrier cream → (optional) occlusive.
Avoid layering many active serums on the same evening; keep routine simple to avoid over-taxing your barrier.
