Description
The MEDICUBE PDRN Hydrating Gel Cleanser is a novel gel-to-foam cleanser designed to gently but effectively cleanse while hydrating and reinforcing the skin barrier. It features cutting-edge ingredients such as PDRN (Polydeoxyribonucleotide — derived from salmon DNA) for regenerative support, as well as ceramides, hyaluronic acids and niacinamide to deliver moisture and barrier repair.
According to the product description, the cleanser uses a weakly acidic pH (approx. 4-5) to better align with healthy skin and minimize irritation while dissolving impurities, sebum and residues.
Size: 120G
Skin Type
Normal to dry skin — The hydrating/repair formulation is especially good for skin that feels tight, flaky or has started to lose comfort.
Combination skin — Works well if some zones are dry/flaky (for instance cheeks) and others may be somewhat oilier; this cleanser supports barrier repair while still cleansing.
Sensitive or barrier-compromised skin — Because the formula emphasises soothing, hydrating and minimal harsh surfactants, it's a very good choice for skin that is damaged or irritated (which aligns with your barrier condition).
Skin that uses sunscreen, makeup or has oil/sebum accumulation — The gel formula claims to melt impurities while supporting skin health.

How to use
Wet your face (or optionally use on dry skin depending on your routine): Because your skin barrier is compromised, you might find that applying to slightly damp skin helps avoid over-stripping.
Apply cleanser: Squeeze out a pea-to-almond-sized amount of the gel. Work into your palms and apply to face, massaging gently in circular motions for ~30-60 seconds — focus on zones with sunscreen/makeup/residue or where you feel dry/rough.
Emulsify/rinse: Add a little warm water to your hands, massage lightly to create a mild foam, then rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. For your barrier state, avoid extremely hot water and excessive scrubbing.
Repeat or follow-up: If you wear heavy sunscreen/makeup, you might follow with a second cleanse using a gentle non-stripping cleanser. If not, proceed to your toner/essence step.
Continue with barrier-repair routine: After cleansing, apply your hydrating toner → serum → moisturiser (especially important given your flaky & dry barrier) — this ensures your skin is supported.
Morning/evening usage: Use nightly or every morning & night depending on your skin’s needs. Given your barrier condition, you might consider using it every night and a simpler cleanse in the morning if your skin is super sensitive.
Tips for your specific skin condition:
On nights when your skin is flaky/dry, after rinsing apply a richer moisturizer to support recovery.
On nights when you use stronger actives (for acne or exfoliation), use this cleanser to help minimise additional barrier stress.
Avoid harsh scrubbing or using cloths/towels aggressively — gentle touch will help your barrier repair.
