Description
The NUMBUZIN No. 4 Ceramide AHA Glazed Skin Prep Serum is a transformative “prep” serum designed to gently exfoliate while fortifying the skin’s barrier for a radiant, smooth “glazed” finish. It combines 3% AHA (glycolic acid) + 3% PHA (gluconolactone) for gentle resurfacing with a blend of five types of ceramides (e.g., Ceramide NP, NS, AP, AS, EOP) to strengthen and hydrate the skin barrier.
Additional functional ingredients include niacinamide, panthenol, hyaluronic acid derivatives, and soothing/repairing lipids — all wrapped in a fragrance-free, barrier-aware formula.
This serum is designed to sit early in your routine (hence “Prep”), allowing subsequent treatments, moisturisers and makeup to perform better on smoother, more receptive skin.
Size: 30ML
Skin Type
Normal to combination and dry-to-normal skin that shows signs of texture, rough patches, dullness, or uneven tone.
Skin that uses actives and is ready to refine surface irregularities while supporting the barrier.
Skin that is preparing for makeup or wants a smoother “glazed” base finish.
Key Benefits
Gently exfoliates the outer skin layer — with 3% AHA + 3% PHA to remove built-up dead skin cells, helping refined texture and smoother surface.
Strengthens & hydrates the skin barrier — Five types of ceramides and panthenol restore lipid and hydration support, which helps prevent sensitivity and dehydration from exfoliation.
Brightens and evens tone — Niacinamide in the formula supports clarity, visible smoothing and tone‐evening.
Prepares skin for the next steps — By refining texture and smoothing skin, it enhances absorption and performance of subsequent skincare (serums, creams, sunscreen).
Fragrance-free & comfortable finish — The formula is designed for daily use and suitable even for skin that is somewhat sensitive when introduced carefully.
Key Ingredients
Glycolic Acid (AHA, ~3%) — exfoliates the skin surface, promoting smoother, more even texture.
Gluconolactone (PHA, ~3%) — a gentler exfoliant than some other acids, supports mild resurfacing with lower irritation.
Five types of Ceramides (e.g., Ceramide NP, NS, AP, AS, EOP) — replenish barrier lipids, support moisture retention and protect skin post-exfoliation.
Niacinamide — improves barrier function, refines texture, brightens tone.
Panthenol — soothing and barrier repairing.
Hyaluronic Acid & derivatives — multi-layer hydration to support smooth, plumped finish.

Pregnancy and Nursing Safe
Likely Safe
This product includes chemical exfoliants (AHA, PHA) which typically warrant more caution during pregnancy or breastfeeding compared to purely hydrating formulas.
How to use
After cleansing (and optionally after toner/essence) apply the prep serum early in your routine.
Dispense 2–3 drops (or as instructed) onto your face (and neck if desired).
Gently spread and pat into the skin until absorbed — given your flaky dry patches and weaker barrier, patting minimises friction.
Follow immediately with your moisturiser or barrier-repair cream — especially important given barrier weakness.
Use nightly or every other night initially, especially for your skin scenario; you might skip it on nights when your barrier is super stressed (lots of flaking, raw patches).
If used in the morning, follow with your sunscreen (essential, since exfoliation increases sun sensitivity).
Because this is a “Prep” serum, you might choose to skip heavier actives on nights you use it (avoid stacking strong acids/retinoids).
Tip for your skin type (weaker barrier + flaky dry patches + occasional cystic acne):
On nights when your skin feels more stable: Use this serum + your regular repair cream.
On nights your skin is more compromised: You may skip this step or reduce frequency, and use only your barrier-repair cream to restore comfort.
