How to use
After cleansing and toning (and any lightweight essence), apply 2–3 drops (or a moderate amount) of the serum to your face — focusing especially on areas of uneven tone, dark spots or discoloration.
Gently spread and pat into skin until fully absorbed. Because your skin has flaky patches and a compromised barrier, use a gentle patting motion to reduce friction.
Follow immediately with your moisturiser or barrier-repair cream (which is especially important given your barrier status).
Recommended frequency: Use morning or night, or both if tolerated. If using in the morning, always follow with sunscreen.
On nights when your skin is particularly irritated, flaky, or after an exfoliation, use this serum but skip layering too many strong actives — keep the rest of your routine gentle.
Because you also have occasional cystic acne: on nights when you are using other acne-targeted treatments (for example retinoids, strong acids), you may choose to use this serum the next night instead, to avoid overloading the skin with actives.
Tip for your skin condition: In your routine, this serum works as your “brightening/spot-correction” step — in areas where you have dry patches, after applying your richer cream, you might apply a slightly thinner layer of the serum just on the pigmented zone and then ensure you apply your repair cream over everything to lock in comfort.
